FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

EYEBROWS

What pigments do you use?

We use Li Pigments, which are iron oxide pigments. They are considered as the safest semi-permanent pigment. As your body will naturally absorb it, the pigment will fade over time.

Do you use a black pigment?

No, we do not use a straight black pigment on anyone. Since black is not a true color, is not recommended, as it will face into a blue color over time.

Do you microblade? How is this different?

We do not offer microblading. Out technique creates the hair strokes using a digital machine.

The vibrations in the machine allow for the pigment to be deposited deeper into the skin and will help to attain a better healed result. The pigment is considered semi-permanent which means it will still fade after 1 -2 years (depending on your skin type and care). The machine hair stroke method is less traumatic on the skin as we do not fully cut into the skin, rather we use the needle to create pricks in the skin. This ensues no scabbing and 80% color retention.

Skin type: This method will also work on all to most skin types. Normal to dry skin types will heal more crisp.

Please always talk to your technician if you have any questions or concerns about the procedure.

How long will the Nano Eyebrow Tattoo last?

The tattoo can last about 1-2 years. The factors that come into play are the clients skin type, age and daily routine. Annual Touch Ups are recommended to help maintain the tattoo.

How do you determine the shape of the brows?

We carefully measure and draw the outline of the brows by taking into  consideration the clients eye shape, facial structure and personal preference. No tattooing will be done until both parties come to an agreement.

Do you use the same needle? What is your sterilization/sanitation process?

- We only have single use needles that are individually wrapped sterilized packaging. Each needle is disposed after each client in a sharps container.

– Gloves and masks are worn at all times

– All machine parts and surfaces that may come in contact with fluids are all wrapped with protective barrier film/cord wraps.

– All work stations/equipment that is not single use is thoroughly disinfected with Cavi wipes.

Will it hurt?

The pain is comparable to threading but numbing cream/gel is used to help ease the pain.

If you are still concerned about pain, you have two options:

1. You are able to purchase Dr.Numb or Elma Topical Numbing Cream. Apply it to the eyebrow area generously. Do NOT rub into the skin. Wrap your eyebrows with a thin layer of saran wrap for 1 hour before your scheduled appointment. This method will ensure you feel completely numb by the time we start tattooing.

2. You are able to take Tylenol before your appointment. (NO Advil as this thins the blood)

Who is NOT recommended for cosmetic tattooing?

- Affected by Aids, HIV or Hepatitis.
– Pregnant or breast feeding.
– All clients must be 18 or older.
– Previously tattooed and the tattoo is still too dark.
– Must be off Accutane for 1 year.
– History of keloid scaring.

What is the after care?

- For the first 4 days, avoid all water contact on your new eyebrows.
- We provide a vitamin A & D ointment for you to take home and apply every couple hours for 7-10 days.
- Any redness or irritation will go down within 2 hours after your appointment.

-Typical healing time is about 2 weeks.
* Please be reminded the first 7 days is NOT your true results as the pigment has not yet peeled completely so they will look DARK and INTENSE.
Please AVOID while healing:

EYELASHES

What are lash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are synthetic lashes (usually silk or faux mink) that are attached to each of your individual natural lash to extend its length and thickness. Can be Natural or Dramatic depending on preference.

How long do lash extensions last?

There is no exact timeline as to how long the lash extension will last. The factors that come into play really depend on how you maintain and follow the aftercare. Typically your lash extension will last upon the same timeline as your natural lashes life cycle. Once your natural lash s ready to fall out, so will the extension.

Will lash extensions ruin my natural eyelashes?

No! If the lash is applied correctly, there should be no harm to your natural lash.

What is the difference between Classic, Volume and Hybrid?

Classic extensions are when one single lash extension is placed on one natural lash throughout the entire eye. It helps to open the eyes and give it more length, while still keeping a very natural look.

Volume extensions take a fan of lashes (depending on the style of volume - can be a fan of 2-6 lashes) which sit on top of an individual natural lash. This gives a more full and dramatic effect to the eye.

Hybrid extensions are 50% Classic and 50 % Volume.

Does it hurt?

No! The process should not hurt at all. However, some clients may experience sensitivity towards the glue and it's fumes - which can cause some eyes to sting a bit or water. It is best to keep your eyes closed at all time through out the process unless stated otherwise. Please always make sure to let your technician if you feel any discomfort.

How long does the process take?

Honestly, it is totally dependent on the number of natural lashes a client might have and also how easy/difficult it is to isolate each lash. The average time frame can depend from 2-3 hours. Perfect excuse to have a nap!

What do I need to know before/during my appointment?

- Please arrive with no eye make up on. Give your lashes a quick wash with some oil-free cleanser or makeup remover.

- Please avoid having coffee before your appointments as this can cause restlessness as well as cause your eyes to flutter.

- During the appointment make sure you lay as still as possible and keep talking to a minimum as any movements could affect the way the extensions are applied causing poor retention.

How often should I come in for a fill?

It really depends on your lashes. The average fill is 2-3 weeks or if you have about 50% of your lashes left.

Do you fill other technicians work?

No, we do not fill other technicians work.

What happens if I am losing a bunch of lashes?

It is normal for a person to shed about 5 natural lashes a day. Normally we don't notice when our natural lash sheds because they are so small and fine. Your natural lashes are all on different shed cycles and sometimes shed quite a bit more, this is normal.

Shedding is also affected by our changing seasons. If you have lost quite a few lashes shortly after your appointment, please contact WITHIN 48 hours to receive a complimentary touch up.

What is the aftercare?

- Do not get any water on lashes for at least 24 hours. This will ensure the glue to fully set.

- No oil-based make up or moisturizers.

- NO MASCARA.

(Please refer to Aftercare tab for full details)

What if I still have lashes on from a different tech?

We will remove the lashes if it is from a different tech work however the lash removal fee of $10.00 will be added to the final price.

If you would like to only remove the lashes, you will just be charged $10.00.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Debit & Credit (There is a $3.00 transaction fee added)
